Ethos
Holistic Redemption
~
We believe ministry should be all
encompassing because we believe the redemption of God is all
encompassing. Not only does God care about our souls but our bodies,
lives and communities. The Church, being Christ’s expression on
earth today, is able to affect a community and an individual in a
way that it transforms it/them from top to bottom, not just
spiritually. This ethos of holistic redemption calls for individuals
to primarily be reconciled to God through the salvation Christ
provides and then to reflect and live out the redemptive,
restorative nature of God. When the gospel is portrayed as well as
proclaimed the message of God’s love is authentic.
(Please see
Biblical
Mandate for scriptural support)
While we believe holistic ministry is
important we do want to emphasize that we firmly believe a persons
eternal relationship to God is of the utmost importance.
Authentic Relationships
~
We
believe God is calling His Church to respond to the immense
suffering in the world! But we are convinced that this desperately
needed help must come in the vessel of relationships. God does not
just want money ministering to people; He wants people ministering
to people. In this context it would require the Church in the West
to be in deep relationship with the Church in Africa. The synergy
created by relationship fuels us to care enough to do something and
also helps us empathize and understand first hand the complex
problems that plague the people. When we enter into relationship,
suffering now owns a face and action soon follows. Images of poverty
seldom carry a person beyond temporal sympathy but a relationship
with poverty will demand that we act.
The Kingdom First
~
The
Kingdom of God is mentioned over 100 times in the Gospels. The idea
that Jesus is building His Kingdom that we are a part of is critical
in our motivation and purpose....

Church / church
~
The
AR takes seriously its role in coming alongside the local church.
Believing that the Church is the bride of Christ we seek to support
her efforts. Working with solid local churches we seek to do what a
local church cannot do on its own; providing infrastructure,
networking and resources.

Indigenous Leadership
~
Indigenous literally means “generated from within”. Not only
was AR founded and is directed by an African whom was born and
raised in Zambia and South Africa, but the direction of Africa
Revolution is subject to the wisdom and leadership of our indigenous
partners in Africa. AR strives to have a marked spirit of humility
and submission.

Statement of Faith
Africa
Revolution's Statement of Faith
1.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Reference: John 6:27; Heb.1:8; Acts 5:3,4; Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Matt
28:19; Is. 48:16
2.
2. We believe that God has revealed
Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and
supremely in Jesus Christ; and that the Scriptures of the Old and New
Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, so
that they are fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in
all they say.
Reference: John 10:35; Matt. 5:18; 2 Tim.
3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21; 1 Cor. 2:13; 1 Tim. 5:18; 1 Cor. 2:14-16; John
16:12-15
3. 3. We believe in the deity and
humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His
miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in
His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the
Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal
return in power and glory.
Reference: John 1:14; Matt. 1:18-25; Matt. 26:38; John 11:33; John 8:40;
Heb. 1:8; Heb. 2:14
4. 4.
We believe God promises, to all who trust in the gospel, forgiveness of
sins and fullness of grace, courage in the struggle for justice and
peace, the presence of the Holy Spirit in trial and rejoicing, and
eternal life in that kingdom which has no end.

5:8-9; Rom. 7:15-21; 6:1-11; 8:11-13; Eph. 2:10
5. 5.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the
lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that
are lost unto the
experience of judgment
and then eternal suffering apart from God.
Reference: Rom. 1:4; John 20:25-27; I John 2:1; Heb. 7:25; Mark 16:19;

12:2; Rev. 21:1-8
6. 6.
We
believe that the one, holy, universal Church is the body of Christ and
is composed of the communities of Christ's people. The task of Christ's
people in this world is to be God's redeemed community, embodying His
love by worshipping God with confession, prayer, and praise; by
proclaiming the gospel of God's redemptive love through our Lord Jesus
Christ to the ends of the earth by word and deed; by caring for all of
God's creation and actively seeking the good of everyone, especially the
poor and needy.

believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ,

this earth, personally, visibly, and unexpectedly, in power and great
glory, to gather His elect, to raise the dead, to judge the nations, and
to bring His Kingdom to fulfillment.

Our
Innovative Church Orphan Home Model in a nut shell
Building Churches / Restoring
Childhoods / Empowering Communities
For the local church
in Africa to holistically serve its community, with our vision coming
alongside in
assistance, it is necessary to let ministry flow out of
one centralized local church facility center in the community.
We aim to assist churches
in building a
multi functioning church center. (pictured here)
The ground floor
will be a church hall
seating up to 350 people.
Church offices, storage and a small home as well as a kitchen, dinning room and
laundry facility take up the space of the lower floor. The top floor will be the
orphan home, providing innovative care to a capacity of 48 orphans
and 10 caregivers; a good ratio & size to maintain healthy dynamics.
Many caregivers will be widows and grandmothers who will live with
the orphans 24/7. It has proved successful to place an orphan in the
care of someone who knows their pain because they too have
experienced loss. Attendees of the church form an extended pseudo
family. The home has a family atmosphere of love, compassion and
hope for a future; and so childhoods are restored.

One side of the
building will host skills development rooms where interns will train
community members in basic computers, HIV/AIDS care and awareness, small
business practice, after school tutoring, nutrition etc. Interns and
community members will go out together and address needs and do acts of
compassion in the community.
This unique 3 in 1 center will be a hub of holistic healing for the community.
Currently we are
looking for passionate like-minded donors to come alongside us and make the
construction of our first home a reality.
