Prayer Letter January 2009
Happy New Year!
Before Christmas we traveled to Swaziland, staying
with an old seminary friend of Allan's from Moody,
Lee Ann. Lee Ann has an adopted Swazi son, Freddy,
and runs a center for children in a small town
called Bulembu. Bulembu was a mining town,
population 10,000. When the mines ran out 10 years
ago, the town was abandoned and went up for auction.
Some Christian business men bought it, with a vision
for turning it into a place for ministry, focused on
the orphans of Swaziland (the country with the
highest AIDS prevalence rate in the world. 48%) to
raise them up to be godly men & women leaders who
can pour back into their country. It is a
fascinating place, and we loved our time there. Lee
Ann and Freddy were great hosts, taking us around
the small town, introducing us to people, setting up
meetings, and helping us relax with long talks about
life in ministry and helping us envision how Africa
Revolution intern team could serve there. Read our
most recent blog post to find out more about this
trip.

Prayer Requests This month we ask you to pray:
1) More interns for next year! Do you
know anyone you could challenge to take a year and spend it serving and
learning with God's church in Africa? Think about it, pray about it. Our
greatest resource is people.
We are thrilled to be partnering with you.
follow close, follow hard
p.s Incase some of you are unaware, we are writing regularly and posting pics of our time here on our blog. www.africarevolution.blogspot.com
