be involved in bringing His redemption to broken communities in Sub Saharan Africa. Specifically, we are facilitating tangible channels of compassion and action on a grassroots level; by coming alongside active local churches and assisting them in caring for 1.) orphans and widows in their community. We also seek to empower, equip, and develop these communities by transferring skills to community members through our 2.) internship program and causing transformation through various creative 3.) partnership projects. By doing this, we are building a bridge that spans the gap between the global community and suffering Africa.
Growing up in Africa and now being here, God has and is continually confirming in so many ways why we are doing this and how much it is needed. Our brothers and sisters live in impoverished communities where exploitive economic systems and AIDS have devastated people’s lives. We spend time with child-headed orphan families, and have our hearts broken as they tell their stories and fear for their future.
As an African myself, I feel impassioned with a vision that I really believe will fight back against the poverty I grew up seeing around me. But I know it will take awareness and action on both sides of the ocean to bring this vision to fruition. To facilitate this vision, we have established a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called Africa Revolution. I know the name is a little fiery, but we believe God has given us a fiery vision to bring about a revolution of His holistic redemption through His Church. With authentic reciprocal relationships, indigenous leadership and an innovative philosophy of ministry at its foundation Africa Revolution is a tool of God for redemption in Africa.
