Volunteer

AR is led by a handful of staff and propelled forward by a small army of volunteers. Our volunteers are incredibly valuable to us and inevitably become part of our family.  We are constantly searching for people looking for ways to pour themselves out on behalf of others. If you have a giving heart and available hands we will find an opportunity for you to be part of something deeply meaningful . We challenge you to give of your time, talents and treasure.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative- If you live in the Lansing, Michigan area and would like to give of your time doing office work a couple of hours a week we can make use of your skills.

Advocates – People are needed to represent AR to their network of friends churches etc. Advocates get the vision and want to see it come to fruition as much as we do. Advocates can champion one of our many projects or host various kinds of fundraiser events. Advocates also network us with the right people and partners to get the job done. Advocates are always expanding our family!

Collectors- Many of our projects require the collection of various things. From gardening and carpentry tools to baby bottles and diapers. We need people willing to gather “stuff” for the work in Africa.

Prayer- One of our core values is prayer.  We are deeply convicted that prayer changes things. We have seen God enter into situations and change things we initial thought were unchangeable, because of peoples prayers. Every Monday we specifically fast and pray for our ministry. Become a person of prayer for this mission.

Researchers- As we are always trying to come up with creative solutions to the onslaught of problems we come up against we seek to be as informed and thus effective as we can be. From grants or current data on orphan care in Africa to cutting edge technology we could utilize in our mission, we often need folks willing to research on our behalf.

Video- We are looking for folks with a creative edge to help us make video pieces for vision casting as we share God’s story of redemption.
